The project
consists of the supply and installation of a 400-Ton Semi-Hermetic
Direct Drive Rotary Compressor Chiller to the Office Centre Building, 12
Ocean Boulevard, Kingston, as well as, the provision of engineering
services, materials, labour, tools, equipment, operational manuals,
supervision, testing and inspections. |

Registration:
|
Tenderers must
be registered with the National Contracts Commission Register of Public
Sector Contractors in the category of Heating, Ventilation,
Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration in Grade 2 or above. Tender documents
may be issued to contractors not currently registered with the National
Contracts Commission in an appropriate grade but in order to have their
tenders considered valid, contractors must be appropriately registered
with the National Contracts Commission before the date and time for the
return of tenders.

Performance Period: |
It is intended
that work should start in July 2008 and that the Contract Period shall
be as agreed at the time of offer and is subject to the offer that best
satisfies the evaluation criteria. The Tenderer shall clearly state the
delivery time as provided for in the Form of Tender. Failure to provide
the delivery time will result in the rejection of the offer. The period
stated will be subjected to liquidated damages in the usual manner. |

Registration - National Contracts Commission. Tenders not including a
valid Tax Compliance Certificate and a Certificate of Registration in an
appropriate Category issued by the National Contracts Commission will be
regarded as non-compliant and will be rejected |

Deposits and Guarantees |
|
A Tender Bond
representing 2% of the Tender figure, or a certified cheque in the
amount of 1% of the tender sum, made payable to the Urban Development
Corporation, must accompany the documents. If selected, a Performance
Bond representing 10% of the tender figure is required. |

The envelopes shall be placed in the Tender

opened in the presence of representatives of any tenderer who wish to

submissions deemed compliant will be opened and the name of each
tenderer and the amount of its tender will be announced. |
