INVITATION TO TENDER
WATERPROOFING ROOF OF THE NATIONAL GALLERY BUILDING (BLOCK 3) 12 OCEAN BOULEVARD, KINGSTON

 
1. Project Identification:
 

 
Applications to tender are being invited for the following project:
 

 Title of Project:

Waterproofing Roof of the National Gallery Building, 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston.

 Scope of Works:        

The project consists of cleaning approximately 2,704 sq.m of roofing area and applying spray polyurethane foam, reflective paint, gravel and walkway pads to the surface of the roof of the National Gallery Building, 12 Ocean Boulevard , Kingston, including, the provision of all  services, materials, labour, tools, equipment, maintenances, manuals, supervision, testing and inspections.
 


 2. Eligibility, Origin and Contractor Criteria for Tendering
 

 Registration:

Tenderers must be registered with the National Contracts Commission Register of Public Service Contractors in the Category of Roofing Grade 3 and above. Tender documents may be issued to contractors not currently registered with the National Contracts Commission in an appropriate grade but in order to have their tenders considered valid contractors must be appropriately registered with the National Contracts Commission before the date and time for the return of tenders.

3. Tendering

Tendering Period:

Twenty-one (21) Days

Performance Period:

It is intended that work should start in 2007 October and that the project will be completed within three (3) months.

Tender Validity Period:

Tenders are to remain valid for a period of 120 days.

on the payment of a non-refundable sum of $2,500.00 for the project document.

 

 

Tenders should include a valid Tax Compliance Certificate and a Certificate of Registration in an appropriate Category and Grade issued by the National Contracts Commission.  These documents must be submitted in a separate envelope clearly marked Tax Compliance Certificate and Certificate of Registration – National Contracts Commission. Tenders not including a valid Tax Compliance Certificate and a Certificate of Registration in an appropriate Category issued by the National Contracts Commission will be regarded as non-compliant and will be rejected.

8. Deposits and Guarantees
 

A Tender Bond representing 2% of the Tender figure must accompany the documents. If
selected a Performance Bond representing 10% of the tender figure will be required.


9. Tender Return Procedure
 

  1. Completed Tender Documents,

  2. Form of Tender,

  3. The required Tax Compliance Certificate and Certificate of Registration with the National Contracts Commission shall be placed in separate envelopes marked:

“WATERPROOFING ROOF OF THE NATIONAL GALLERY BUILDING (BLOCK 3)
12 OCEAN BOULEVARD KINGSTON”

 

The envelopes shall be placed in the Tender Box before or at the date, time and location stated above.

 

Submissions will be opened in the presence of representatives of any tenderer who wish to attend at the date, time and location stated above.  Tender submissions deemed compliant will be opened and the name of each tenderer and the amount of its tender will be announced.


10. Acceptance of Tender
 

The Urban Development Corporation does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender submitted


11. Funding
 

The project will be funded from the UDC Treasury
