Cruise line passengers walk along the Turtle River Road, Ocho Rios on November 12, 2014 which was upgraded as part of the multimillion dollar Ocho Rios Enhancement Project which also includes work on the Ocho Rios Cruise Terminal. The UDC acted as project designers and managers for this phase of the works while project sponsors are the Tourism Enhancement Fund and Port Authority of Jamaica. Elements of the redevelopment included pedestrianizing and landscaping of Turtle River Road. Dunn’s River Falls and Park played hosts to thousands of these passengers who arrived via cruise ships docked at the three main ports of call in Montego Bay, Falmouth and St. Ann on November 12. The UDC-owned Dunn’s River Falls which is operated by the St Ann Development Company is part of the 276 acre Belmont property, which was acquired by Government in 1972.
