Children from childcare and protective institutions in the corporate area enjoy the beach under the watchful eyes of lifeguard, Glenton Beadle at Hellshire Summer Fun 2012. On July 19, over 400 children from 9 institutions were treated by the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) to a fun-filled day, inclusive of a mini sports day, bounce abouts and a concert. The occasion was the 32nd Hellshire Summer Fun, which was held at Fort Clarence Beach. This community outreach activity is geared towards treating children to a day at the beach during the summer holidays. Organizations which collaborated with the UDC to host the event include JN General Insurance, Kirk Distributors, Caribbean Broilers Ltd, LIME, New Era Finance Ltd, Crazy Jim Ice Cream, Bigga Soft Drinks, WATA, Jamaican Urban Transit Company (JUTC), Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), Caribbean Cream Ltd, Main Events Entertainment Limited, Mothers and Juici Patties.
