Negril famous for its white sand beach, is home to the Long Bay Beach Park, which was developed by the UDC to ensure the provision of adequate public beach facilities in the western end of the island.
In 1997, the first Beach Park was established on 4.16 hectare (10.4 acres) which was complemented in 2001 by the 2.07 hectares (5.18 acres).
The Beach Park which is operational daily, was Blue Flag accredited for the 2010 Blue Flag period. The sparkling blue sea, white sand beach and brillant sunshine make Long Bay Beach Park an enticing propect for the discerning recreation developer.
