The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) wishes to advise our patrons that the Dunn’s River Falls and Park and the Green Grotto Caves and Attractions in St. Ann have now reopened following the passage of Hurricane Matthew. Our western attractions, Bluefields Beach Park in Westmoreland as well as Long Bay Beach Park 1 in Hanover, are also open.
We anticipate the re-opening of Reach Falls in Portland and Fort Clarence Beach Park in St Catherine, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.
The Urban Development Corporation (UDC), in partnership with the National Environmental Planning Agency (NEPA) is encouraging Jamaicans to adopt proper solid waste disposal practices, after hosting International Coastal Cleanup Day (ICCD) activities at Hellshire Bay Beach in St. Catherine (on September 17, 2016).
The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) has invested $300,000 in advancing the educational opportunities for 30 children of its employees from across the island, who participated in the 2016 Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT) and will be pursuing secondary education starting in September.
The UDC presented each of the 30 students with bursaries of $10,000 each towards their academic expenses.

The Honourable Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism, met with the newly-appointed board of the Urban Development Corporation on August 3, 2016 to discuss strengthening the partnership between both entities.
