As part of the downtown Kingston Redevelopment Plan, the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) will construct a new market on Heywood Street, Spanish Town Road and the Jubilee Market will be renovated. The project, dubbed the ‘downtown Kingston and Port Royal Development plan’, aims to improve the physical infrastructure in downtown Kingston, through strategic public-private partnerships, while facilitating a safe and secure environment.
