Volunteers Remove more than 8000 lbs of Garbage...

Volunteers remove debris from the Hellshire Bay Beach on International Coastal Clean-up Day (September 17), where the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) hosted its annual beach clean-up project. Participants comprised corporate entities, community groups, as well as churches and academic institutions. Some 514 bags of recyclable and general waste combined, totalling close to 4,000 kilograms were collected by more than 1,300 volunteers. International Coastal Clean-up Day is an initiative of Ocean Conservancy and is the largest global volunteer effort geared toward ocean health.
