The occasion was the handing over of a platinum plaque and flag in recognition of Green Grotto Caves as the Caribbean’s first tourism attraction to achieve EarthCheck’s highest accolade of Platinum Certification. Platinum Certification recognises 10 years of continuous reporting under the EarthCheck Benchmarking and Certification Programme. The UDC has owned and operated the Green Grotto Caves since 1999.
