THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
REQUIRES A PARK COORDINATOR – PROPERTY
CLOSED HARBOUR BEACH PARK

Job Summary:
The Park Coordinator – Property has the responsiblility for the supervision and coordination of activities related to all areas of property maintenance to include infrastructure, grounds, landscaping and sanitation. The incumbent also has the responsibility to coordinate and monitor security and access control, as well as manage the park’s beach operations. He/she will ensure that the position-related activities are in line with industry best-practices and are in support of the strategic direction of the Corporation.

The ideal candidate should have:

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
• An Associate Degree in Operations Management, Project Management or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
• Certification in Supervisory Management
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in property maintenance inclusive of two (2) years’ experience in practical landscaping with expert knowledge of horticultural/landscape systems, irrigation systems, associated chemicals and their safe and proper application
• A minimum of (2) years experience at a supervisory level within a tourism-based/recreational facility
• Working knowledge of installation, repair and maintenance of electrical and plumbing fixtures
• Sound Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals, environmentally safe cleaning practices and standards for various surfaces and environments
• Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
• Sound knowledge of the relevant Acts and Regulations relating to watersports and beach operations e.g. JTB, Maritime. NEPA
• Working knowledge of property licensing/certification requirements to include but not limited to Health, Fire, JTB, TPDCo
• Team Jamaica Certification

• Ability to multi-task and function as a team member
• Ability to work on own initiative and perform well under pressure
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Well-developed decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent records and inventory management skills
