Tender Placement: Insurance Services UDC
Tenders are invited from Insurance Companies and Brokers, pre-qualified by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and registered with the Public Procurement Commission (PPC); to provide insurance services for the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) and its subsidiaries.
Eligibility Criteria:
Pre-qualified Brokers and Insurers will be required to submit with their bids the following:
-Valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) / Tax Compliance Letter (TCL)
- Public Procurement Commission (PPC) Registration Certificate in the category of Insurance Services
- A like-for-like proposal and one (1) alternative proposal
- Summary of each proposal
- Duly completed declaration
- Duly completed and signed disclaimer
- Duly completed and signed Proposal submission form

- Commercial All Risk
- Business Interruption
- Plant, Machinery and Equipment All Risk
- Loss of Money
- Fidelity Guarantee
- Goods in Transit
- Public/Products Liability
- Employers Liability
- Auto Liability
- Combined Motor Comprehensive
- Combined Motor Laid up Fire and Theft
The period of placement will be for 3 years with the successful broker commencing May 1, 2021.
Collection of Bidding Documents
Bidding documents will be available as of Monday, October 26, 2020 and can be collected Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00a.m. and 4:00p.m., from:

12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston
A non-refundable payment of JA$3,500 in cash or manager’s cheque, payable to the Urban Development Corporation, will be required when collecting the bid document.
Bids must be deposited by Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Tender Box located at:
Ground Floor, Information Centre, Urban Development Corporation
12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston
Bid opening commences at 3:15 p.m. on the same day of the closing, on the Ground Floor of the UDC Head Office. Bids submitted after this time and date will be automatically rejected and disqualified.
Failure to purchase the Bid Documents from the UDC will result in the ineligibility/ non-responsiveness of that bid from participation in the procurement process.
The Urban Development Corporation reserves the right not to accept the lowest, or any other bid or to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to the award of contract without incurring any liability.
