  • Posted on: 26 September 2017

Youth volunteers carry debris from the Hellshire Bay Beach on International Coastal Clean-up Day (September 16) where the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) led its annual beach clean-up project. Hundreds  of youth turned out for the annual event which saw more than 1,300 volunteers collecting 514 bags of recyclable and general waste combined, totalling close to 4,000 kilograms. International Coastal Clean-up Day is an initiative of Ocean Conservancy and is the largest global volunteer effort geared toward ocean health.
