Youth Create Viable Environmental Solutions in UDC Competition
Members of the Earth Protectors Club of St. Jago Cathedral Preparatory School receive their first place award in the primary category in the 2015/16 staging of the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) Schools Environmental Competition. Sharing the moment with them are (L) Sarah Simpson-Tulloch, Director of Natural Resource Management and Environment Planning, UDC and Lorna Perkins, Director of Development, Planning and Project Management Division, UDC. The students emerged winners with their entry which focused on climate change and repurposing used plastic bottles. The UDC stages the competition each year to increase environmental awareness and to engage students in finding solutions to issues affecting the natural environment while the My Croc Adventure is held every other year. Prizes were awarded at the recently held My Croc Adventure & Friends crocodile conservation and environmental fair at Hope Zoo.
